Uptrends does not sell you a number of monitors. It sells annual monitoring credits that you allocate however you like — an uptime check costs 6, an API step 15, a browser check 50, a transaction step 50. That flexibility is genuinely useful once you understand it, and it makes comparing Uptrends against a simple per-monitor plan harder than it first appears.

Is Uptrends worth it?
For a business that mixes simple uptime checks with browser and transaction monitoring, the credit model is a real advantage — you reallocate rather than renegotiate when priorities change. Core at $42 and Pro at $60 a month are reasonable for what is included, and the 30-day trial gives full Enterprise access without a card. The catch is that a browser check consumes eight times the credits of an uptime check, so a browser-heavy setup empties the allowance fast.
Uptrends is an enterprise-oriented synthetic monitoring platform covering uptime checks, browser checks, multi-step transactions and API monitoring, with status pages and alerting around them.
Everything is bought as annual monitoring credits rather than monitor slots. An uptime monitor costs 6 credits, an API step 15, and a browser check or transaction step 50 each. Credits do not expire within the contract year and can be reallocated, so you can move capacity between check types as priorities shift.
Plans differ mainly in credits, users and check frequency. Core at $42 a month gives 10 users, two-minute uptime checks, ten-minute browser checks and 10 status pages. Pro at $60 gives 25 users, one-minute uptime, five-minute browser and transaction checks, one-minute API checks and unlimited status pages. Enterprise is custom and unlocks 30-second uptime and API checks, private checkpoints, OpenTelemetry, Terraform support, SSO and three-year retention.
Reallocatable capacity and genuinely fast checks at the top end.
Move capacity between uptime, browser, transaction and API checks during the contract year without renegotiating a plan.
Uptime and API checks at 30-second intervals, which is faster than most competitors offer at any tier.
Multi-step scripted journeys, priced at 50 credits per step so the cost of depth is explicit.
Checks from inside your own network on Enterprise, for systems that are not publicly reachable.
10 users on Core and 25 on Pro, with unlimited on Enterprise. Seats are not the upsell here.
Complete Enterprise access for 30 days with no credit card, which is long enough to evaluate properly.
Three tiers, all credit-based. Prices shown are monthly on annual billing.
| Plan | Price/mo | Users and intervals | Notes |

| Pro | $60 | 25 users, 1-min uptime, 5-min browser and transaction | Unlimited status pages, 600 SMS credits |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited users, 30-sec uptime and API | Private checkpoints, SSO, 3-year retention |
| Credit costs | — | Uptime 6, API step 15, browser 50, transaction step 50 | Reallocatable within the contract year |
Monitoring vendors change plan limits and prices frequently and without announcement. Every figure here carries a "verify on their site" caveat and you should take it seriously before making a decision on cost.
Uptrends does browser and transaction monitoring, offers 30-second checks on Enterprise and runs private checkpoints inside your network. We do none of those. If scripted journeys or sub-minute checking are the requirement, they are the better product.
Our difference is the absence of arithmetic. Fifty monitors with us is $19 a month and a monitor is a monitor — uptime, certificate, domain, page content or heartbeat, all the same. With them, fifty uptime checks is 300 credits and fifty browser checks is 2,500, and you need to know that before you can compare anything.
We also treat certificates and domains as first-class types with their own expiry windows, which their credit model does not really accommodate, and we diff page content, which they do not do at all.
The honest split: a business that needs transaction journeys and fast checks and has someone to model the credits — theirs. A fixed price for a mixed set of things you want watched, with no allocation to manage — ours.
Every recorded change is compared word by word and kept with a before-and-after image. This is the real output, shown with worked example data.
Price fell from $49 to $39, and an annual discount was added.
The item is available again and the basket button returned.
A new subprocessor was added in another jurisdiction.
The free plan sends to one email address. Every paid plan adds the chat and webhook channels below, with 2 to 10 destinations depending on the plan. However many alerts you receive, the price does not change — nothing here is metered or charged per alert.
There are no voice calls and no SMS. If a phone call at 3am is a hard requirement, say so before you subscribe — we would rather tell you now than refund you later.
Core is $42 a month and Pro is $60 a month on annual billing, with Enterprise custom-priced. Note that third-party listings often show older plan names and prices — check uptrends.com directly.
You buy annual monitoring credits and allocate them. An uptime monitor costs 6 credits, an API step 15, and a browser check or transaction step 50 each. Credits do not expire within the contract year and can be reallocated.
A browser check launches a real browser and executes a full page load, which costs far more to run than an HTTP request. At 50 credits against 6, one browser check is worth more than eight uptime checks.
Two-minute uptime checks on Core, one-minute on Pro, and 30-second uptime and API checks on Enterprise. Browser checks run at ten minutes on Core and five on Pro.
No, but there is a 30-day trial with full Enterprise access and no credit card required, which is unusually generous for evaluation.
Monitoring locations inside your own network, available on Enterprise, for systems that cannot be reached from the public internet.
Certificate state can be checked as part of monitoring, but certificates are not a first-class monitor type with their own configurable expiry window as they are in dedicated tools.
They do browser and transaction monitoring, 30-second checks and private checkpoints, none of which we offer. We charge $19 for 50 monitors of any type with no credit allocation to manage, and treat certificates, domains, page changes and heartbeats as first-class.
